See Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams’ explosive 74-yard TD run vs. Iowa State

The freshman quarterback bolted down the field for this score.

Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams got the No. 13 Sooners on the board Saturday against Iowa State by showing off his speed with an incredible, long touchdown run.

The freshman passer — who replaced Spencer Rattler earlier this season — entered the game against the Cyclones with 305 rushing yards with a game-high of 88 yards on the ground against Texas in October. But Williams put up nearly a quarter of his season total in a single play early in the few minutes against Iowa State.

On 2nd-and-9 for Oklahoma’s second offensive play of the game from its own 26-yard line, Williams took the snap and briefly looked to his left before darting to the other side of the line, finding a huge hole in Iowa State’s defense and taking off toward the right sideline.

And thanks to some excellent blocking — along with Williams’ speed, obviously — he made it all the way to the end zone.

Williams’ sixth rushing touchdown of the season tied the game, 7-7, early in the first. And wow, that was a great run by the freshman quarterback.
