Tennessee Titans inside linebacker Rashaan Evans was ejected from the Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos in the first quarter for throwing a punch at tight end Jake Butt.
Evans and Butt got into a little scuffle after a 10-yard run by Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay, and the end result was the inside linebacker throwing a punch at the tight end that landed, which led to his ejection.

This is a huge blow for the Titans, as now they’ll be without one of their starting inside linebackers for the rest of the game. Simply an inexcusable move from Evans, who the Titans are expecting to be a big part of their defense after a strong sophomore campaign in 2019.
David Long will likely play the majority of snaps alongside Jayon Brown for the next three quarters. Tennessee also has Will Compton and Nick Dzubnar ready to go if need be.
