The Tennessee Titans seem to be on the upswing overall as a team after making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game last year.
But things are changing, and the Titans are evolving.
That includes significant changes within the coaching staff like the retirement of defensive coordinator Dean Pees, and departures from the roster like tight end Delanie Walker and quarterback Marcus Mariota this offseason.
Walker, who remains a free agent, was cut by the Titans earlier this offseason, and Mariota went on to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency after five seasons in Nashville.
Walker memorialized his time with the Titans and Mariota with these Nike Air Force Ones, which he posted a photo of on Twitter on Monday. The shoes included a picture of the pair and the stats they put up together.
Sometimes the people we’ve known for a short amount of time have the biggest impact on our lives, even more than those we’ve known forever. Thanks my guy #🍍 #🐺 pic.twitter.com/NI3qoi6VDM

“Sometimes the people we’ve known for a short amount of time have the biggest impact on our lives, even more than those we’ve known forever,” Walker wrote in the tweet.
Right now, names like Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill and A.J. Brown come to mind more than anyone else when we think of what makes the wheels turn within Tennessee’s offense.
But before them, the chemistry between Mariota and Walker was what mostly moved the chains for the Titans.
The Titans may look like a different team now, and some of that for the better, but we won’t forget the contributions of others from the past.
