SEC upsets send CFP playoff picture into chaos

There were upsets all around the SEC in Week 13

The SEC schools are doing their best to ruin each others’ chances to make it to the College Football Playoff.

On Saturday:

  • Alabama was crushed by Oklahoma
  • Auburn stunned Texas A&M
  • Florida upended Ole Miss

The schools that were on the losing side of those upsets all have three losses and will slide in the CFP rankings.

The SEC Championship Game will feature Georgia against the winner of next week’s Texas-Texas A&M  game.

Another question is where will Indiana land after being thumped by Ohio State. The Hoosiers have one loss but their schedule has created many questions.

You can add in Colorado losing to Kansas and there’s another fringe team in the rankings that had their hopes doused. The Buffaloes may not even make the Big 12 Championship Game.

The selection committee has its work cut out.
