SEC Tournament: Tony Vitello discusses LSU following the Vols’ win

No. 1 Tennessee (51-7) defeated No. 4 LSU, 5-2, Friday in the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Hoover, Alabama.

Following the Vols’ win, Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello discussed LSU.

“Incredibly talented, we knew that last year we played them,” Vitello said about LSU. “There’s a lot of familiar faces. Granted, there’s a new coaching staff and there are some guys that are different, but they got guys like the guy who finished the game that is pretty dang good. I know he didn’t throw the way he wanted to last time we saw him. He’s improved.

“The guys at the plate, a lot of familiar faces from last year, did a lot of damage not just in Knoxville, the games we played them, but other places too, so they got a good arsenal in that lineup, regardless of who’s healthy and who’s not.”
