SEC teams on the ‘bowl bubble’ through seven games

With everyone using their abacus to figure out who makes the New Year’s Six bowls, some SEC programs will be fighting to secure eligibility.

We’ve reached everyone’s favorite time of year: bowl projection season. When you get to Week 8, there always seem to be more elite programs than there are New Year’s 6 spots to go around. The Pac-12 and Big Ten seem to have multiple elite programs, the SEC has the two-time defending national champion, and even the ACC has multiple unbeaten teams remaining.

Conversely, some teams with front-loaded schedules might seem dead in the water, but the path to .500 is very real.

Here are the four SEC teams most firmly on the bubble for reaching six wins.
