It’s been a rough offseason for college football teams across the country — including the LSU Tigers — as the Southeastern Conference continues to push forward with a 2020 season while others have cancelled fall football entirely.
We’ll have a much clearer picture of what the season will look like when the SEC releases its complete schedule on Monday at 6 p.m. CT.
Teams in the SEC will play a 10-game, conference-only schedule, with SEC Football Championship Game set for Dec. 5 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Atlanta, Georgia.
There will be an open date within the schedule mid-season and on Dec. 12 for all schools.

“We remain steadfast in our approach in the Southeastern Conference, taking all the available time to gather as much information as possible in order to make informed decisions,” LSU AD Scott Woodward recently said in a statement. “We are united in our process and our focus on the safety and well-being of our student-athletes. The recent flood of reports surrounding college athletics does not alter that approach. As we have said since the beginning, we are patiently working through each and every variable following the direction of our Return to Safety and Medical Guidance Task Force. I believe our student-athletes want to play. We owe it to them to make every effort to do so safely.”
LSU has already had an alteration to its schedule, with the Tigers set to face Vanderbilt on the road, and Missouri at home in Baton Rouge.
LSU is currently set to kick off on Sept. 26 against the Ole Miss Rebels in Tiger Stadium.
