SEC releases statement for Thursday’s schedule, pushing back Tennessee-Vanderbilt game time

SEC releases statement for Thursday’s SEC baseball tournament schedule, pushing back the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game time.

The Southeastern Conference Tournament is taking place Tuesday-Sunday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.

Tennessee won the SEC regular-season championship and is the No. 1 seed. Texas A&M won the SEC West division and is the No. 2 seed in Hoover.

The Vols were slated to play No. 8 Vanderbilt in its first game Wednesday. Vanderbilt defeated Ole Miss in a single-elimnation game, 3-1, Tuesday. The Tennessee-Vanderbilt contest was originally pushed back to 10:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday. Rain in Hoover postponed Wednesday’s Texas A&M-Florida contest, altering the Vols’ matchup with Vanderbilt.

Following weather delays during the SEC Tournament, the Southeastern Conference released a statement regarding Thursday’s game between Texas A&M and Florida that was slated for 10:30 a.m. EDT.

“Due to impending weather, the start time for Game 6 between Texas A&M and Florida is TBA.

Stadium gates will open one hour prior to first pitch of Game 6. SEC FanFest at the Finley Center will open at 8:30 a.m. CDT.”

Tennessee will play Vanderbilt following the conclusion of the Texas A&M-Florida matchup.
