Johnson made one hell of a statement in the first start of his college career, leading LSU to down Florida, 37-34 on the road in one of the most shocking upsets we’ve seen all season — the reason why he was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week following it.

Johnson completed 21-of-36 pass attempts for 239 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the win.

Despite the circumstances, he looked confident, showing quick decision-making, and adding an element of mobility at the position.
