It’s been a tough sophomore season for Nix, who had a difficult time getting his feet under him last year. He’s had moments where he’s flashed a great deal of potential and other times when he and the offense don’t seem to be steadily trending upward much at all.
Next season’s an important one, and it will be interesting to see how things go without Gus Malzahn.
Nix has completed 60% of his passes on the nose for 2,123 yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions — a stat line that bears similarities to the one he finished with in his freshman season.
