SEC names Texas A&M’s Tyler White Co-Special Teams Player of the Week

Texas A&M freshman punter Tyler White Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the second consecutive week

Week 6 in the SEC had no shortage of surprises as multiple top ten teams lost games throwing a monkey wrench in the top 25 and power rankings.

However, one thing remained the same as Texas A&M punter Tyler White has a foot of gold and has been one of the better special teams players in the nation. His top-tier punt to pin Missouri deep in their territory was so impressive that he earned the Pop-Tarts “Crazy Good” Play of the Week.

The SEC recognized the freshman’s production after the big week by naming him SEC Player of the Week. Below is the excerpt from the release from the conference officials:

‘Texas A&M’s Tyler White averaged 46.3 yards per punt during the victory over Missouri. His 48-yard punt late in the second quarter pinned Missouri at its own 1-yard line. White’s consistency contributed to Texas A&M’s control of field position throughout the game.”
