Jace LaViolette came up clutch a few times in the series win against the Auburn Tigers and the SEC took notice. The 6’6″ 230-pound freshman, represented Katy Texas well by being named SEC Freshman of the Week.
Jace got last week started with a two-run double and also crossed the plate twice himself. The Auburn series is where he really shined, hitting three home runs in the first two games. Over the course of the three-game series LaViolette had ten RBI which was good enough to lead the SEC.
The freshman has been getting better week by week and currently leads Texas A&M with eight home runs and 34 RBI on the season.
