SEC dominates the top five in latest Coaches Poll

The SEC dominates the top five in this week’s poll.

Despite most eyes being locked on the hardwood during this time of year, college baseball is in full swing. As has been the case at the start of the season, the LSU Tigers have a firm grip on the No. 1 spot in the polls. They claim 29 of the 31 first-place votes.

We did see a shakeup in the top five with four teams hailing from the SEC. Florida moved up to No. 3, tied with Arkansas. The Vanderbilt Commodores round out the top five in the fifth spot. Wake Forest earned one first-place vote and sits behind the Bayou Bengals.

Both the Tennessee Vols and Ole Miss Rebels had the biggest drop this week dropping 10 spots to No. 12 and 13 respectively. Texas Tech had the biggest jump among the top 15 teams after taking two of three from Oklahoma State.
