[autotag]Dan Ige[/autotag] was not able to take the next step forward in the featherweight pecking order on Wednesday when he came up short against Calvin Kattar in the UFC on ESPN 13 main event.
Ige (14-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) had his six-fight winning streak snapped with a unanimous decision loss to Kattar (22-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the headlining bout, which took place at Flash Forum at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Although he came out on the wrong side of the scorecards, Ige showed tremendous durability and some dangerous offense. It wasn’t enough against Kattar, but it proved he belongs in the upper tier of the 145-pound weight class.

Even in defeat, there are all sorts of options on the table for “Dynamite.” A matchup with [autotag]Jeremy Stephens[/autotag] (28-18 MMA, 15-17 UFC), who is also coming off a loss to Kattar, could be a potential option.
Is that what makes most sense for Ige after the loss? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on his future.
