Sean O’Malley shifts to betting favorite over Merab Dvalishvili as UFC 306 fight week arrives

It seems money has come in on Sean O’Malley, causing a shift in the odds as UFC 306 draws near.

Heading into UFC 306 fight week, [autotag]Sean O’Malley[/autotag] is now the betting favorite over [autotag]Merab Dvalishvili[/autotag].

O’Malley (18-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) defends his bantamweight title against Dvalishvili (17-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC 306 (pay-per-view, ESPNews, ESPN+) main event at Sphere in Las Vegas.

After O’Malley opened up as a +108 underdog and Dvalishvili a -138 favorite, the odds have shifted with the fight just six days away. According to DraftKings, O’Malley is now a -135 favorite over Dvalishvili, who is a +114 underdog.

O’Malley knocked out Dvalishvili’s teammate, Aljamain Sterling, to claim the bantamweight title at UFC 292. He then retained his title with a shutout of Marlon Vera at UFC 299 in March.

Dvalishvili is on a 10-fight winning streak – most recently getting his hand raised against former UFC champions Jose Aldo, Petr Yan, and Henry Cejudo.
