A large group of high school football coaches in Southern California will be treated to a crash course in coaching from one of the brightest minds in the NFL. On Thursday, Rams coach Sean McVay will host a “Chalk Talk” conference call with nearly 220 high school coaches from 120-plus local schools, teaching them about his “leadership philosophies in times of adversity and how to drive competitive greatness,” the Rams said in a press release.
The Zoom call will run for 60 minutes and also include a Q&A session for coaches to ask McVay questions, which is an opportunity that not many people get.
McVay has been praised countless times by players, media members and other coaches for being a great leader. He may only be 34 and entering his fourth season as a head coach, but McVay is an offensive wizard and relates well to his players.
The high school coaches participating in this call will benefit greatly from it and should take away a lot from what McVay has to say.
