Sean McVay compares himself to Ron Burgundy when reading Rams’ injury report

Sean McVay read off the Rams’ projected injury report to open his press conference and hilariously compared himself to Ron Burgundy

Ron Burgundy read anything that was in front of him on the teleprompter, and apparently, Sean McVay will do the same with an injury report.

To open Wednesday’s media session with reporters, McVay went through the Rams’ projected injury report before practice. He said Cooper Kupp would be among the players limited in practice, but that’s not actually the case.

McVay was just reading off the injury report, which said “limited” next to Kupp’s name, but the All-Pro receiver is going through a normal practice.

“He’s going to go through practice today,” McVay said. “We’re going to see exactly what that looks like. It says limited, he’s not going to be limited. I mean, I was like Ron Burgundy just reading off the damn injury report. He’s going through a normal practice. We’ll see how he’s feeling and progress him as the week goes.”

Next week, whoever types up the injury report should put that George Clooney was limited with a toe injury to see if McVay will read it.

On a more serious note, it’s a good sign that Kupp will be a full participant to start the week, indicating he’ll be ready to go on Sunday against the Eagles.
