Sean Marks excited about current Nets roster amid James Harden rumors

The Nets GM believes “you have to pivot and be flexible and maintain that throughout the season.” Still, he’s ready to watch this group.

Sean Marks can’t directly address the James Harden rumors, unless he doesn’t mind getting in trouble with the league. But, that doesn’t mean he can’t be asked about the one thing on all Brooklyn fans’ minds.

So when the Nets general manager was on the YES Network’s “Nets Hot Stove” special, Michael Grady made sure to ask about Harden, without mentions the Rockets star’s name.

Marks provided some insight on his approach, while not delving into any territory that might warrant a call for the league office.

“Well, there’s never a dull moment,” Marks said. “And I think when maybe you’re the part of some rumors out there and so forth, you take heed and just look how far the Nets organization has come. We’re obviously excited to get the team that we have, to be honest, out on the floor, and I think not only just with Kevin and Ky and Caris (LeVert) and Jarrett Allen, you work your way through the roster.

“For those guys having the opportunity to get out there and, as you said, wear the black and white, that’s the most important thing. It’s a crazy business that we live in and things are thrown your way all the time, and you have to pivot and be flexible and maintain that throughout the season.”
