After talking with @CoachDanLanning I’ve decided to take myself out of the transfer portal and stay at The University of Oregon. I’m fully committed to putting my focus on the team and seeing everyone in Autzen this upcoming season! #GoDucks 🦆

The Oregon Ducks fanbase has Dan Lanning to thank for a pair of running backs who remain on the roster.
After entering his name in the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon, freshman RB Sean Dollars announced on Wednesday night that he was removing his name from the portal after a discussion with new head coach Dan Lanning.
This is the second RB on the roster to avoid the transfer portal after a discussion with Lanning, with Seven McGee doing the same in December of 2021.
The last 48 hours have been eventful for Dollars, who offered some confusion to Duck fans on Tuesday afternoon when he entered his name in the portal at 4:25 p.m. PT and then removed his name just 7 minutes later at 4:32 p.m. He again re-entered his name soon after, and stayed there for the next 24 hours or so. It was just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday night that Dollars announced he would be staying at Oregon.
Dollars was not the only Ducks’ RB to be involved in the portal this week, with fellow freshman Trey Benson entering his name on Wednesday afternoon. With both Byron Cardwell and Seven McGee returning, as well as the possibility that both CJ Verdell and Travis Dye might return as well, it’s safe to say that Oregon’s RB room is going to be crowded in 2022. Dollars must have been convinced on Wednesday night that he has a real shot to compete down the road.
