In a concerning development during a Friday afternoon news dump, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Dee Eskridge has been suspended the first six games of the season. This was first reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, and then confirmed by the Seahawks’ own public relations Twitter account.

Dee Eskridge was originally drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. Unfortunately, Eskridge has been unable to stay healthy or make much of an impact on the field when able to play. Eskridge’s lack of production helped prompt Seattle to draft Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first round this past spring.
However, teammates have been singing Eskridge’s praises all offseason. Fellow receiver Tyler Lockett has even mentioned he looks explosive. Now Eskridge’s status with the Seahawks is up in the air, especially if law enforcement is getting involved.
