Unlike the Philadelphia Eagles, who lost starting quarterback Carson Wentz early in the game, the Seattle Seahawks escaped their wild-card win Sunday with relatively few new injuries.
Defensive end Ziggy Ansah left the matchup with a neck injury, which coach Pete Carroll confirmed was a stinger during his postgame press conference.
“He had a stinger,” Carroll said. “I can’t tell you any more about it than that.”
Other than that, Seattle was able to finish the game without any major hits to the roster.
“Pretty fair night for us in that regard,” Carroll confirmed. “We’ve gotta see what happens with Ziggy’s stinger that he had. There’s a couple of guys who got banged up but nothing serious right now.
“Everybody that got something during the game went back in.”
Seattle will need to be as healthy as can be by next Sunday when the Seahawks travel to Green Bay to face the Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs.
