The Seattle Seahawks quickly filled the roster spot made available by cutting tight end Nick Guggemos when they signed wide receiver Travis Toivonen on Tuesday morning.
Toivonen originally attended the University of North Dakota, where he started all four years. He logged 48 receptions for 684 yards and seven touchdowns his senior season.
The wide receiver went undrafted in 2020 and then signed with the Fan Controlled Football league. He worked out at the University of Minnesota’s Pro Day this spring.
Toivonen will add depth to the wide receiving corps heading into next week’s minicamp.
