According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, Seahawks rookie Jerrick Reed II has suffered an ACL tear and will be out for the rest of the season.

While there’s been no announcement by the team as of yet, Reed confirmed the news by sharing Shefter’s report on Twitter.

Reed was a sixth-round draft pick by Seattle in the 2023 draft out of New Mexico. He appeared in 10 games with the Seahawks, putting in 29 snaps on defense and 157 on special teams.

When the team officially puts Reed on the injured reserve list, it will open up a spot on the active 53-man roster that will likely be taken by right tackle Abe Lucas, who’s been on IR since Week 2 with a chronic knee injury but is expected to return this week.
