Seahawks RB Travis Homer suffered rib injury after hit on Sunday

Seattle Seahawks running back Travis Homer sustained a rub injury during his only carry of the day in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Seattle Seahawks running back Travis Homer logged just one carry Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons during which he took a hit to the ribs and left the game, unable to return.

Coach Pete Carroll said Homer was still feeling the pain the next day.

“He’s really sore, he got hurt,” Carroll told reporters Monday afternoon. “He had a significant, I don’t know if they call it bruised ribs, a little bit of cartilage dipped in there. I don’t know how far it’s going to take him or not, but I know he’s really uncomfortable today.”

Carroll confirmed the injury happened during the running back’s lone touch of the day.

“Yeah, he got hit on one side, but it actually hurt him on the other side which is really unusual in my experience which is very limited,” Carroll said. “He got banged pretty good.”

The first injury report of the week isn’t due out until Wednesday so stay tuned to see how and if Homer makes the list.
