Seahawks QB Russell Wilson to donate 300,000 meals for COVID-19 relief

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson will donate 300,000 meals for COVID-19 relief as a charity bet made during “The Match: Champions for Charity.”

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, had a little fun Sunday afternoon in the name of charity.

Sports fans around the country finally had something to watch Memorial Day Weekend when Capital One’s “The Match: Champions for Charity,” kicked off to raise funds in support of COVID-19 relief.

The contest, which was held at The Medalist Golf Club, pitted Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. Wilson tweeted his trash talk video aimed at Brady – all in good fun, of course – before the four hit the course.

Wilson later upped his ante when he promised 100,000 meals per shot inside 12 feet on the No. 16 hole. After three – Manning, Mickelson and Brady – hit the mark, Wilson and Ciara will now be donating 300,000 meals to the COVID-19 relief cause.

The PGA was live blogging the event and you can check out a recap of the action here.
