Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is NFC West’s best quarterback

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may no longer be the NFL’s highest-paid player, but he’s certainly the best in the NFC West.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may no longer be the NFL’s highest-paid player, but he’s certainly one of the best of the best at his position and the top dog in the NFC West.

Managing editor Jess Root of our sister site, Cards Wire, recently ranked the division’s signal-callers and Wilson came out on top.

“There is no question here,” Root writes. “He is one of the very best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. He threw for more than 4,100 yards last season. He had more touchdown passes (31) and fewer interceptions (5) than the rest of the division. He had a passer rating of 106.3. He plays best when his team needs it most and has carried Seattle for years. He is the unquestioned número uno.”

There is no denying the NFC West is stacked in quarterback talent and divisional play should be ultra-competitive this season, assuming football is actually allowed to be played in 2020.
