Seahawks pick Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba at No. 20 overall

He’s the first wide receiver to be picked in this class.

The Seattle Seahawks have selected Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Smith-Njigba (6-foot-1, 196 pounds) is the first wide receiver to be picked in this class.

In 23 games at Ohio State, Smith-Njigba posted 110 catches, 1,698 receiving yards and scored 10 touchdowns.

Smith-Njigba should fix what’s been a long-time deficiency for Seattle’s receiver corps – not having a true No. 3 option behind stars Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. He does his best work from the slot and should see plenty of time on the field, even as a rookie.
