Some news broke on Thursday just in time to get a reaction from Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider during his new weekly radio show on Seattle Sports 710 am.
The Rams parted ways with hometown favorite and former Seahawks linebacker, Bobby Wagner. Wagner had just completed the first season of his five-year contract.
Immediately fans began to call for Wagner to return to the Seahawks.
“A Seattle favorite,” Schneider told Dave Wyman and Bob Stelton. “He’s an amazing player, an icon, Hall of Fame player and all that.”
While Wyman and Stelton attempted to probe Schneider further on the possibility of a Wagner reunion, Seattle’s GM was quick to silence the conversation.
“He’s not released yet, he’s not on the waivers, so congratulations to whoever scooped that,” Schneider said. “He’s still technically on their roster so we won’t be able to speak to his agent for a minute or two – which is actually himself . . . so.”
So . . . this story is definitely one to keep an eye on!
