Seahawks expected to hire Rams’ Greg Olson as QBs coach

Rams senior assistant Greg Olson is expected to head to the rival Seahawks as their new quarterbacks coach

The hits just keep on coming for Sean McVay’s coaching staff. After already losing Thomas Brown last week, the Rams will now watch another assistant coach head out of town – and this time to a division rival.

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the Seahawks are expected to hire Greg Olson as their new quarterbacks coach. Olson was a senior assistant on the Rams’ staff this past season and was their quarterbacks coach in 2017 when McVay was first hired.

Olson also interviewed for the Chargers’ offensive coordinator position, as well as the Broncos’ quarterbacks coach.

Olson, 59, first got his start in 2001 as the 49ers’ quarterbacks coach and has bounced from team to team in the last 20-plus years. He had six previous stints as an offensive coordinator.
