If it looked like Russell Wilson was playing hurt in his first three games after returning from IR, you’re not crazy. Wilson finally seemed to be back to normal against the 49ers, throwing the ball as well as he has since the finger injury that happened Week 5 when he hit his hand on Aaron Donald’s helmet.
Speaking in his weekly ESPN bit today, coach Pete Carroll said Wilson ain’t perfect but he’s well, suggesting that No. 3 hasn’t been 100%.
Pete Carroll on @710ESPNSeattle on Russell Wilson's finger says "he's well. He ain't perfect but he's well. It took all this time.'' Carroll again hinting strongly now that Wilson wasn't totally healed when he returned and has been getting better with each week.

It was obvious that Wilson wasn’t right physically his first few games back.
Meanwhile, when he was activated Geno Smith was coming off the best showing of his career – albeit against a bad Jaguars team. We will never know for sure, but it’s difficult not to wonder if Smith would have given Seattle a better chance to win those weeks until Wilson was more fully-healed.
More evidence that Carroll’s staff needs accountability.
