There was some hope that former Tennessee Titans outside linebacker and 2019 fifth-round pick D’Andre Walker could return to the team via the practice squad after he was a surprise cut on Saturday, but that will not be the case.
According to the transaction wire listing all of the waiver claims teams made on Sunday, the Georgia product will be heading to the Seattle Seahawks. It isn’t clear if he’ll be on the practice squad or the 53-man roster, though.

The Titans were not one of the teams to make a claim, and Walker was the only player cut by Tennessee who was claimed.
The move to cut Walker, which came before the Jadeveon Clowney signing, was surprising because he never got a chance to see the field for Tennessee after suffering an injury during last year’s training camp that forced him to miss the entire 2019 season.
And, with all the problems the Titans have had at outside linebacker in this year’s training camp, combined with the fact that Walker was receiving praise from beat writers and coaches for his performance during practice, it was thought he would at least have some kind of role in his second season.
Seattle’s interest in adding EDGE help isn’t surprising. The Seahawks lost Clowney in free agency, and coincidentally it was to the same team that drafted Walker.
While this obviously isn’t a trade, it’s safe to say the Titans are comfortable with letting Walker go now that Clowney is coming to Nashville.
