Seahawks are re-signing defensive end Carlos Dunlap to 2-year deal

The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing defensive end Carlos Dunlap to a two-year deal after releasing him ahead of the start of free agency.

The Seattle Seahawks will be keeping one very important piece in the defensive puzzle in place this season. Seattle will be re-signing defensive end Carlos Dunlap. The Seahawks had released Dunlap ahead of the start of the new league year.

Free-agent DE Carlos Dunlap is resigning with the Seahawks on a two-year deal, $16.6 million deal that includes $8.5 million guaranteed, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted Thursday evening.

The new deal will keep Dunlap in the Emerald City for two more years.

“Year 12 with the 12’s! -Damn Dunlap the Passion Continues…” Dunlap tweeted.

This news comes just an hour after the report Seattle will be moving on from defensive tackle Jarran Reed. The Seahawks did make the signing of former 49ers defensive end Kerry Hyder official as well.
