The Seattle Seahawks are acquiring veteran defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. General manager John Schneider is sending a sixth-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft to Jacksonville in exchange for his services. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport first reported the news on social media.

The Seahawks have been dealing with injuries across the defensive line. Rookie interior defender Byron Murphy II is sidelined with an injury. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu was recently placed on IR. Leonard Williams previously missed Week 4 with an injury.
Jarran Reed and Johnathan Hankins had been playing increased roles as a result. Quinton Bohanna and Cameron Young also recently made their regular-season debuts. Robertson-Harris will add quality depth to a unit that has been hurting.
Robertson-Harris is currently signed to a contract through the 2026 season. The Seahawks could technically designate him as a post-June cut next offseason and save $6.6 million towards the salary cap while inheriting a manageable dead cap charge of $2.3 million, according to OverTheCap. Schneider isn’t tied to seeing Robertson-Harris’ contract completely through.
Robertson-Harris has totaled seven tackles, two sacks, and two blocked kicks on special teams this campaign. Pro Football Focus credits him with recording 11 quarterback pressures this year en route to a 57.8 pass-blocking grade. Seattle got better on defense on Monday, and they did it by acquiring a proven veteran for a 2026 Day Three draft selection.
