With it being scouting combine week, it’s always a fun time to look back on some of the notable moments for the Cincinnati Bengals during this stretch over the past few years.
One of those was outright hilarious. In 2020 before the Bengals made Joe Burrow the No. 1 pick, he had to hit up social media to joke about his “small” hand measurements.
Burrow wrote the following on the tweet that now has 303,000 likes: “Considering retirement after I was informed the football will be slipping out of my tiny hands. Please keep me in your thoughts.”
Burrow’s 9-inch hand measurement was one of the smallest amongst first-round passers since 2008.
While understandable that would raise an eyebrow, it was also a good example of the over-analyzing that goes on this time of year. Clearly, the notable measure wasn’t that big of a deal, right?
Happy Combine week 😂 https://t.co/I2Cn5HqSwB
