Scottie Scheffler video shows him being detained by police in handcuffs at PGA Championship: ‘He’s going to jail’

“He’s going to jail and it ain’t nothing you can do about it, period.”

The reporting is still emerging about exactly what happened to Scottie Scheffler as of writing this post early Friday morning, but we put together everything we know about the world’s No. 1 golfer being detained and handcuffed by police at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville.

Now, there’s some video as that happened.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington witnessed the incident with Scheffler, reporting that a police offer “shoved Scheffler against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs” after Scheffler tried to get on to the property. The second round of the 2024 PGA Championship was delayed after a pedestrian was reportedly killed by a shuttle bus outside the course, which might explain the police presence.

Darlington released video of Scheffler being taken away in handcuffs, with a police officer saying, “Right now, he’s going to jail, OK? He’s going to jail and it ain’t nothing you can do about it, period. There’s nothing you can do about it.”
