Schedule for Lakers vs. Grizzlies playoff series has been released

After playing lots of high-stakes games lately, the Lakers will get a good amount of rest as they face the Grizzlies in the playoffs.

For the last two months, the Los Angeles Lakers have been playing games that had postseason implications on a regular basis. Those games culminated with Tuesday’s slugfest with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament, where LeBron James and crew overcame a 15-point third-quarter deficit to win 108-102 in overtime.

The Lakers looked tired at times during the last few weeks, but they will get some much-needed rest before they begin their series against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday in the NBA playoffs.

The schedule for the entire series has been released, and it will also give L.A. a decent amount of rest during the actual series.

The team will have four full days off before the tip at noon Los Angeles time on Sunday. It will have two full days of rest before both Game 2 and Game 3 as well.

That rest will come in handy particularly for James and Anthony Davis, both of whom are nursing lingering foot injuries.
