Santiago Vescovi discusses performance against Texas A&M

Tennessee defeated Texas A&M, 68-54.

On the difference in his play against Texas A&M versus against Alabama a week ago:

“I feel a lot better this week. My legs probably are fresher and I think that helped me on both ends. The first couple shots going in also helped me in terms of confidence, and also my teammates helped me just knowing they have my back no matter what happens. That helps a lot. Also the coaches have done a really good job giving me confidence and just letting me know that at some point my shots will start falling.”

On how much fun Tennessee’s offense is when shots fall like they did against Texas A&M:

“We knew even before the game that it was going to be an assist game and we were going to have to share the ball because they were all in the paint every time we drove. I think it’s really fun to be honest because if you get a shot for yourself you’re going to be happy, but if you get an assist, you’re going to be happy and your teammate who made the shot is going to be happy as well. Having a game with 23 assists show how we can share the ball, how unselfish we are and just how much we care about eachother.”
