San Antonio Spurs top plays from the California Classic Summer League

The standout play of rookies Stephon Castle and Harrison Ingram that caught our attention.

The NBA’s annual California Classic Summer League has now officially come and gone. In it, the San Antonio Spurs have played their way to a 1-2 record in the 2024 iteration of the event.

After dropping a pair of games to start to the Charlotte Hornets and Sacramento Kings, the Summer Spurs pulled out an 89-67 blowout win over the Chinese National Team at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center this past Tuesday (July 9) night. While the overall record notched by San Antonio does not exactly scream success in most contexts, it was the standout play of rookies Stephon Castle and Harrison Ingram that caught our attention.

The Spurs organization took in all of the video generated from the Cali Classic, and spliced together a highlight reel of the best of San Antonio’s play in it. You can see it for yourself in the clip embedded below, courtesy of the Spurs’ official YouTube channel.
