Heading into their Friday night contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the San Antonio Spurs have nobody listed on their injury report outside of two-way players Sir’Jabari Rice and Charles Bediako and Sidy Cissoko, who is on assignment with the team’s G League squad. Both Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell, who have been on the report as of late, are healthy and ready to play.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves are dealing with some injuries of their own. Jaylen Clark is listed as OUT while he rehabs a ruptured right Achilles tendon, while Jordan McLaughlin is OUT with a right knee MCL sprain.
In addition, two-way player Luka Garza is in the G League, and the same can be said for Leonard Miller and Wendell Moore Jr., who are both on assignment.
The Spurs are coming off three straight losses, and their two most recent were complete blowouts at the hands of the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. They will be looking to bounce back against a solid Timberwolves team that has hopes of making waves in the Western Conference.
Minnesota is on a four-game win streak, including victories over the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics. Their most recent win was a 122-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Timberwolves currently have one of the best defenses in the league, and considering Victor Wembanyama’s recent struggles against physical defenders, he and the Spurs could have some trouble matching up with fellow Frenchman Rudy Gobert.
The Spurs vs. Timberwolves game tips off at 7:00 p.m. Central time.
