The Wizards rank 22nd and 21st in those categories, respectively. They’re under .500 at 27-31, 11th in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards are 22-34-2 ATS, including 3-6-1 ATS over their last 10 contests.

The Spurs are 3-3 straight up (SU) as road favorites, while the Wizards are 5-8 SU home underdogs
Given the loss of offensive firepower for the Wizards, they may struggle to score, especially having traded playmaking PG Spencer Dinwiddie to the Mavericks.
The Spurs have the league’s lowest turnover rate and do most of their work in the paint, scoring the second-most points in the paint. The Wizards rank 21st in opponents’ points in the paint.
Considering the composure and style San Antonio plays with and the lack of scoring for Washington, the Spurs at -160 are a smart play.
It should be close though, so I prefer backing the expensive money line odds.

Against the spread

The Spurs are 2-3-1 ATS as away favorites, a position they aren’t often in. The Wizards are 6-7 ATS as home underdogs.
Considering the Wizards are .500 at home (15-15) and the Spurs are just 12-18 on the road, I’ll opt to take the more expensive Spurs money line odds as this should be a tight matchup.

The Spurs play at the fourth-highest pace in the NBA. They’re 30-27-2 O/U this season; the Wizards are 29-28-1 O/U.
With Washington 11th in turnover rate, this game shouldn’t be sloppy, and there should be a good amount of shots. The Spurs rank second in field-goal attempts per game and ninth in scoring at 111.8 points per game.
With the Wizards’ defense in the bottom third of the league, the Spurs should be able to have their way offensively. They’ve gone Over in 6 of their last 10, and the Wizards have gone Over in 4 of their last 6.
