Sam Pittman expects team bounce back against Alabama

Sam Pittman expects his team to adjust quickly and prepare for the next opponent, Alabama.

The gauntlet of the toughest schedule in college football hit its pinnacle.

Arkansas took a hit to the gut after losing to Texas A&M 23-21 on neutral grounds, with the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll sinking them nine spots.

Hogs coach Sam Pittman expects his team to adjust quickly and prepare for the next opponent, Alabama.

“I think we’ll bounce back,” Pittman said after the Southwest Classic. “I love our kids. They’re tough and resilient. [Razorback Stadium] will be sold out and rocking in there. A lot of people spend their hard-earned money to come to watch us play, and we’ll be ready to play. They’re hurting right now, but they’ll be fine.”

Pittman’s confidence is valid. Despite the major drop-off in the polls, Alabama will prepare for a Top-10 caliber opponent. The preparation for this game for both sides will be important. The Hogs’ film session will be filled with mental mistakes, but playing in the comfort of home fans takes some of the pressure off.

Based on Pittman’s post-game confidence, I would expect the Hogs to have a good week of practice.
