The new Netflix documentary “Quarterback” has found success since its release just a few weeks ago, becoming the No. 1 show on the streaming site already. With camera crews following Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins, it gives fans a true insight into the grind of what it takes to be a quarterback in the NFL.
But there’s a problem with season 2 which already has the green light.
Multiple quarterbacks are reportedly not interested in doing it, including former Tar Heels’ standout Sam Howell. As Howell and the Commanders opened up training camp this week, he was asked if he would do the documentary if they came calling. His answer? “He’s not interested” at least for this year.
Asked Sam Howell if he would consider getting filmed for "Quarterback" if Netflix asked.
He said he watched the show, but not for him this year. Learning the position/starting is the priority. Understandable.

It makes sense as Howell does have a lot on his plate right now, trying to win a starting job for the Commanders and help them return to the playoffs.
He’s also the latest quarterback to say he’s not interested, joining Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts.
