Foster Moreau knew he messed up. At least his teammates tried to lift him up despite the mistake
In the New Orleans Saints’ 31-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the tight end saw a Derek Carr pass heading his way on third-and-goal with 27 seconds left. He was as wide open as you can be near the corner of the end zone … but the ball went off his fingertips and was incomplete.
What would have been the game-tying touchdown (assuming the extra point was good) was gone. And Moreau was seen on the sidelines soon after with his helmeted head in his hands. You can see his teammates come over and comfort him, which is lovely:
Foster Moreau's teammates had his back after he couldn't come up with the potential game-tying TD.

Foster Moreau was sitting on the bench, postgame helmet still on. Juwan Johnson had his arm around him. Alvin Kamara came up and got Foster, hugged him and walked him to the locker room. Great teammates ❤️ #Saints pic.twitter.com/sT60bqNVTJ

He was so distraught:
You can hear how upset Foster Moreau was when he spoke after the game. "It's tough," he said. "In front of every man, woman and child I've ever known. It's a dark place to be. It's the National Football League. It doesn't come down to 1 play but it comes down to 1 play"

It was great to see his teammates pick him up after that.
