There it is: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Marshon Lattimore has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the New Orleans Saints that sets a new record for total guaranteed money ($68.3 million), just minutes after Lattimore led the Saints secondary to a dominant 38-3 win over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed the news. Pretty, pretty good.

Schefter adds that Lattimore’s new deal includes escalators that raise its value up to $100 million, though its base value is $97.6 million. That’s an average of $19.52 million per year, clocking in just ahead of Baltimore Ravens corner Marlon Humphrey ($19.5 million per year).

Lattimore has reached the Pro Bowl three times in his first four years, and now he’s tied to the team for the foreseeable future. That helps keep together one of the league’s best defenses as the team transitions out of the Drew Brees era. How’s that for a nightcap after an exhilarating win over Green Bay?
