Sadly, Mac Jones wasn’t pulling a Tom Brady and wearing a SCUBA wetsuit against the Bills

Aw man, too bad.

It was the nastiest of games for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots on Monday night, featuring absurd winds and wet weather.

That led to Bill Belichick giving rookie Mac Jones the chance to throw just three — THREE  — passes in the 14-10 win in Buffalo. But what was Jones’ secret to keep from freezing out there while handing the ball off a bajillion times?

There was talk that he had taken a page out of the Tom Brady playbook, donning a wetsuit to wear under his uniform. But it turns out, sadly, he didn’t do it. Here’s the quote via Patriots.com:

MJ: No. I just had my normal dress on. I’ve been listening to Brian [Hoyer]’s advice and all that. You have to get what you have to get on and go out there and play. You want to be warm. Like I said, it’s a learning experience. At the end of the day, none of that stuff matters. You’ve just got to go out and play what you’re comfortable in.

Where did this originate? Here you go:

But this was really a thing with Brady! We wrote about it in 2017:

Wild that this is a thing, and super-cool it’s being passed down through the generations, even if Jones didn’t wear one this time.
