Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The San Antonio Spurs (23-21) host the Sacramento Kings (22-25) for the second game of a back-to-back Wednesday at AT&T Center for an 8:30 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Kings-Spurs odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Sacramento steamrolled San Antonio 132-115 as a 2.5-point road underdog Monday.

The Kings are playing their way into play-in tournament seed territory, winning five straight and seven of their last eight games (6-2 against the spread).

The Spurs have been struggling lately. They’ve lost five of their last six (1-5 ATS), but those losses were to the red-hot Kings and three winning teams—including two to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Kings have covered seven of the past eight meetings with the Spurs and have won five of those games outright.

Kings at Spurs: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Kings 122, Spurs 116

Money line (ML)

Slight lean to KINGS (+115) for a quarter-unit, if at all, because Sacramento plus the points is a better wager.

Against the spread (ATS)

Over their last eight games, the KINGS +2.5 (-110) have the sixth-best net rating, fourth-highest effective field-goal shooting (eFG%) and are eighth in assist-to-turnover rate.

Whereas the Spurs are 24th in net rating, 27th in rebounding rate and 23rd in eFG% in the last eight games.

This might come as a surprise given how poorly Sacramento’s defense has been, but the Kings are far better in close games this season than the Spurs.

Sacramento is 17-10 overall in clutch situations with a higher net rating than San Antonio, which is just 12-12 overall in the same spot.

BET KINGS +2.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over has cashed in three straight Kings-Spurs games and Sacramento has played like one of the better offenses in the league in recent weeks.

Also, according to Pregame.com, more money is on the Over while more bets have been placed on the Under.

Since the money column is generally considered the sharp side of the market and the tickets column is the average Joe, let’s follow the money and bet OVER 230.5 (-115) for a half-unit.
