Ryan Preece cleared to race in NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Preece has been cleared to race in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Darlington Raceway.

Thankfully, Preece was able to exit the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital for more evaluation. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver was released the next day and now, his status for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race has been revealed.

Stewart-Haas Racing announced that Preece has been cleared to compete in this weekend’s Cup Series event at Darlington Raceway. It represents the first race of the 2023 NASCAR playoffs and while Preece did not make the show, it is still relieving to see him behind the wheel at Darlington.

It is well-known that NASCAR is a dangerous sport and any wreck of that magnitude makes someone hold their breath. Thankfully, Preece will not miss any time and continues to push for his first win of the 2023 season and his career.
