It was a homecoming win for Rutgers football, who battled back from being down two touchdowns early in the game for a 24-17 win over Indiana.
Rutgers came into the game off a bye week, a much-needed break for a team that had lost three straight games – all in the Big Ten. But the Scarlet Knights went down 14-0 midway through the first quarter after they started the game slow and perhaps a bit rusty.
But they responded well to the adversity, defensively limiting the Hoosiers to just 129 yards of total offense and three points in the game’s final three quarters.
With the win, Rutgers is now 4-3 (1-3 Big Ten). They will play at Minnesota next Saturday.
