On Friday, Rutgers baseball landed Northeast-10 Conference NCAA Division II transfer Jordan Falco to their 2024 roster. The right-handed pitcher transferred from Adelphi University (New York) to Rutgers, adding depth to the Scarlet Knights pitching staff.
The New York native from Center Moriches, New York, joins the Scarlet Knights after two strong seasons at Adelphi and will compete for a starting pitcher spot for the Scarlet Knights. In 2023, Falco led the Adelphi starting staff with a 4.91 ERA and was the No. 2 in their starting rotation.

Falco allowed two earned runs or less in his first four appearances last season. Also, he collected a season-high seven strikeouts in the season’s final start against Southern Connecticut State University (05/05/23).

The 6-foot-6 182 pounds right-handed pitcher finished with a 5-4 career record with Adelphi, recording a 4.33 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 23 appearances. In 2022-23, Falco pitched 87.1 innings, letting up 42 earned runs, 94 hits, 47 walks, 11 doubles, and nine home runs in his NCAA Division II career.
In 2021, Falco was the No. 75 ranked prospect among right-handed pitchers in New York, according to Perfect Game. Also, he was the No. 188 ranked overall pitcher in New York for 2021. According to Perfect Game, the 2021 prospect had a national ranking of No. 1877 among right-handed pitchers in his recruiting class.
Falco’s fastball recorded 84 MPH (top result) and averaged 79 MPH, finishing 76.97 percent in his 2021 recruiting class. The new Scarlet Knight is excited for better competition and a winning culture. Rutgers head coach Steve Owens is adding another starting pitcher with NCAA experience who can pitch meaningful innings for the Scarlet Knights.
