The Denver Broncos are a mess this year and that mess was on full display during Sunday’s nationally televised blowout (51-14) loss to the defending champions Los Angeles Rams.
We had Russell Wilson talking to teammates with a football next to his mouth, which was weird.
And we also had Wilson’s backup, Brett Rypien, getting into skirmish with Broncos offensive lineman Dalton Risner after Wilson was sacked in the third quarter.
For real, Rypien was upset and he went over and defended Wilson’s honor (or something) and ended up being shoved pretty good by Risner.
This video from the sideline shows it pretty good:

Here’s how it looked on the CBS broadcast:
#Broncos backup Brett Rypien exchanged some words with the starting offensive line, defending Russell Wilson after he took another sack, per @tracywolfson. Dalton Risner pushed Rypien out of the way.

Feels like Risner might not win that Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
